This is NATCAP-OUG's (above) official PARENT Organization.  IOUG is the largest Oracle based user group in the world.  HEAVY DUTY Technical Sessions at their annual IOUG Live! conferences.  They also host a nice Technical Repository... and much more. è IOUG's former name was "INTERNATIONAL Oracle Users Group" (now called Independent Oracle Users Group).  IOUG is heavily endorsed and partially subsidized by Oracle Corporation.
Oracle Technology Network, aka "TECHNET".  GREAT place to look for techie info in the Discussion Forums and to download trial Oracle products (tied to Oracle Corp's web site).
Oracle METALINK Technical Support and techie info lookup/repository. Usually the best place to start when you have a problem. Look it up -- chances are other folks have had similar experience and have already resolved the issue.
OUTSTANDING  source for hard core Technical Articles/Information and Discussion Forums pertaining to MULTIPLE DATABASE PLATFORMS, e.g. Oracle, DB2, SQLServer, and even IMS.  Special section for Data Warehousing too.
Mid Atlantic Association of Oracle Professionals.  This is a REGIONAL user group with a convention twice a year, usually in WDC or Crystal City, VA.
Oracle Development Tools User Group.  This is the largest user group devoted EXCLUSIVELY to Oracle's Design, Development, and Decision Support Tools.
Quest builds/sells all kinds of Diagnostic and Performance Monitoring softare for Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, MS Windows, MS Exchange, MS ACTIVE DIRECTORY, Web/Application Servers, and ERP software.  They also have report publishing/push technology and more. >>> DBIG is an official Quest Partner. <<<
Acquired by Quest Software near the end of 2001, RevealNet builds/sells great KNOWLEDGE BANKS for DBAs and DEVELOPERS (covering Oracle, SQLServer, and DB2).  They also publish great Oracle Development Techie Info "Pipelines" on the web.  The famous Steve Feuerstein is a major contributor.  RevealNet builds development and DBA tools as well, e.g. to auto-generate PL/SQL db packages to perform all basic SQL functions for every table in a schema, to auto-format your code, and to perform a database analysis/health check with meaningful graphs.
GREAT Place to find info on the latest Oracle DBA and Development Tools, Books, and Techie News -- plus Technical Repository of Scripts and Shareware, and White Papers.

GREAT Oracle Knowledge Bank.  In-depth tech info plus Tools/Utilities, Forums, Industry News, etc.
Info on virtually ANY Database, e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, DB2/UDB, Sybase, Informix, plus OPEN SOURCE databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and more.  They even cover some Oldies, e.g. FoxPro, Ingres, and Progress.
We use SQL Server too -- particularly for Data Warehousing.  Here is a good source of TECHIE HowTo's + see FAQs pages (incl TSQL), as well as their Scripts page with a few time-savers.

Somewhat OUTDATED, but still a good source for Techie Information and utility scripts.  Their home page emphasizes Performance Tuning, but they cover a lot more.  Their monthly NEWSLETTER is published ONLINE -- packed with good tips.	Unix + Oracle = Ixora
Primary site for OPEN SOURCE projects. Lots of good (free) stuff, but also be careful :-).
Great place for IT / TECHNICAL BOOKS at GREAT PRICES.
The most renowned IT/Business Research company in the country (maybe in the world?).  Outstanding source of what-is and what's-ahead info, with over 25 focus areas.
Look for IT Industry News, HIGH CALIBER technical articles, and even Technical Advice.  Focus areas include Database (of course!), Security, Networking, CRM, ERP pkgs, and more.  Talks at both CIO and techie levels. Part of the www.techtarget.com network.
GREAT place to TEST/Diagnose PC Problems and Internet Connection Speed.  Also run a PC Performance Tune-up, Tech Support, or look for PC Products and SW Utilities/Downloads.
Okay, so this isn't techie -- but your kids will LOVE it, and you deserve it after working all those long hours :-).
